چکیده

Datura metal L is an important medicinal plant containing the alkaloids like scopalamine(hyoscine),hyoscyamine(atropine) scutellaerin etc .The total alkaloids present in the callus were higher than the amount of alkaloids present in leaves .For the higher production of alkaloids the medium plays avital role. The addition of L-arginine were enhanced the alkaloid production The higher production of alkaloids like scopalamine (Hyoscine) and Hyoscyamine (Atropine) in sodium alignate were conformed by using FTIR – spectra and UV –visible spectra. The realase of alkaloids from the sodium alginate enttrapped cells was higher on 11 day of culture. In the present study indicated that the maximum amount of alkaloids were observered in callus (16.50mg/g d.wt) than leaves (12.37 mg/g d.wt) and seeds (11.5 mg/g dwt). The ms medium supplimented with different concentration of auxin (NAA) and cytokinin (BA) were enhanced maximum number of the shoot buds .Auxin rich medium promoted the rhizogenesis directly from callus.

In vitro organogenesis and alkaloid accumulation in Datura innoxia.

The kinetics of tropane alkaloids accumulation in different organs such as roots, leaves, stems, flowers and seeds of Datura innoxia was investigated by GC-MS. Twenty-six tropane alkaloids were detected. The ester derivatives of tropine (3alpha-tigloyloxytropine and 3-tigloyloxy-6-hydroxytropine) are the major compounds. Undifferentiated callus were established from the stem explants of Datura ...

Effect of Sodium Chloride on Tropane Alkaloids Accumulation and Proline content in Datura metel and D. stramonium callus cultures.

Plant tissue culture techniques were used to study the effect of NaCl on tropane alkaloids accumulation and proline content of both Datura metel and Datura stramonium. Callus cultures were established for both Datura species. However, MS medium supplemented with 1mg/l of both BA and NAA was the best for callus production in D. metel, while MS supplemented wit...

In vitro callus induction and isolation of volatile compounds in callus culture of Lallemantia iberica (M. Bieb.) Fisch. & C. A. Mey.

A modern biotechnological technique to obtain useful natural products from plants is to isolate them from their callus cultures. Lallemantia iberica is an annual herb of the Lamiaceae family known for its stimulant, diuretic, and expectorant effects in Iranian folk medicine. The present study investigated the induction of plant callus tissue and identification of its volatile compounds. For thi...
